I am unsure about IL LLC laws but..

In Michigan.. they are not illegal for the participants

However, it could be deemed irresponsible so the liquor license can be violated (and taken away) if the games are sponsered by the bar..

As such I doubt if any bars would allow them..

As long as you stay out of state park camping grounds, you should be ok. Also, I don't believe that KOA campgrounds allow drinking either. Do a search online for Illinois campgrounds. Alot of states have campground associations where they have multiple listings.

Go to Baverian Camp in mouston wisconsin, just past the dells. It is located on castle rock lake, has a beach and not a lot of kids. You can rent campers down there too. If you decide to go say hi to Horst.

You have a problem if you can only have fun when you drink. Look up hostels to get an idea whether this is what you want to do. You might have more fun if you bring a friend. Expect warm to hot weather in August with occasional storms. Lake Michigan has plenty of beaches to go to in and around Chicago. If you like smaller lakes, there are many in Lake County, but you might have to rent a car to get to some of them. I don't know your interests, but you can shop, visit museums and parks, take a bus or boat tour, rent a bike and ride bike trails next to the lake. You might enjoy watching people look at the 26ft. tall Marilyn Monroe statue being unveiled this week.

Drinking is NOT allowed in public. I beleive stores stop selling alcohol at 2am. Chicago's beaches are really nice. They get pretty crowded on the weekends. Plan on the weather being between 80-90.
