My daughter, 21 in November, will be a student in Chicago this year. She is an experienced waitress, having worked in alcohol-serving restaurants for the past three years. Is there a minimum age limit for waitressing in Chicago?

HOW has she been working, serving alcohol for three years? One must be OF AGE to serve alcohol! If she couldn’t drink it, yet, how could she serve it? (law instated to ensure that people don’t serve their friends).
Yeah, if she’s 21, she can serve in Chicago.
Dart , that is not entirely true. In some cites you can be 18 and serve alcohol in a bar as long as you have a liquor license, and you are mature enough to do the job. Here is a link just incase some are interested in how old you have to be to bartend /waitress in your state ..

The one thing all states have in common is you have to be 21 years old to purchase alcohol.
in my friends job, they have to be 19 to serve alcohol. it really depends on the place and their guidelines.but to be a waitress you have to be at least 18
I did work at a place where we had to serve the drinks for one waitress who was a minor but it was such a hassell he let her go
